Hardware and Software Overview
- Each of the nodes in the blue queue has:
- Each of the nodes in the green queue has:
Storage
- User home directory (for example, user test101 has /home/test101).
- Each user has a fixed (relatively small) amount of disk space available in their home directory
- Home directories are not on redundant disks.
- Please do not store large files in your home directories! Instead, use the RAIDs listed below
- All nodes (both interactive and batch) have the following large disks available
- RAIDs provide redundant storage, and are generally fault tolerant if one disk fails.
- The RAIDs are groups of many disks combined to make large partitions of (typically) several Terabytes.
- Each RAID is hosted on a system that has a 10Gbps network card, which means reading from and writing to these disks are typically faster.
